NAFE’S 2013 WOMEN OF EXCELLENCE AWARDS NAMES DR. REBECCA THOMLEY, ORION ASSOCIATES FOR EXCEPTIONAL BUSINESS ACHIEVEMENT AND LEADERSHIP
The National Association for Female Executives (NAFE) today announced the 2013 Women of Excellence Award recipients, and Dr. Rebecca Thomley, CEO of Orion Associates was bestowed recognition for her exceptional business achievement and acumen. The announcement was made today by Betty Spence, president of NAFE.
Dr. Thomley was named in the area of Community Service. Volunteerism and community involvement is a core value for Orion Associates and its related companies including Headwaters Relief Organization, a non-profit organization that supports the emotional and housing rehabilitations of families and communities affected by disaster. Orion Associates provides management services for its related companies Morning Star Financial Services, Zenith Services, Meridian Services and Orion ISO, as well as for unrelated for profit and non-profit companies.
“I’m honored to be included in this group of bright and talented women professionals,” said Dr. Thomley. “As a leader, my accomplishments are a reflection of the outstanding team of employees at Orion Associates and its related companies. I’m proud that as we’ve grown we’ve stayed true to our mission which includes a culture of volunteerism that contributes to our shared communities.” Dr. Thomley added nearly 100% of the organization’s staff participates in volunteer activities throughout the year.
Other women named to the list include Entrepreneur of the Year Kim Reed Perell, CEO of Adconion Direct, Jodi Allen, VP North America, Marketing & Brand Operations, Proctor and Gamble and Judy Rice, Chief Diversity Officer, Prudential Investment Management. “The NAFE Women of Excellence are notable as leaders at their companies and in their communities for innovating products and projects and for improving the health and well-being of those they serve,” says Dr. Betty Spence, NAFE president. “We recognize them not only for their accomplishments and talents, but also for ensuring the success of other women.”
