Controlling Workplace Harassment
This seminar will examine the various laws that govern workplace harassment. The presenter will define illegal harassment; discuss the legal obligations of employers, managers, and supervisors when harassment occurs; and detail the corrective actions that employers are able to do and obligated to do. Attending this seminar will help employers learn how to minimize the risk of retaliation claims by those reporting harassment.

About the Instructor:
Beverly J. Wolfe, a graduate of the University of Minnesota Law School, has been an attorney for over 25 years and has worked at both the U.S. Department of Justice and the Hennepin County Attorney's Office. For the past 12 years she has specialized in employment law advising human resources personnel, managers and employers on issues pertaining to discrimination, harassment, FMLA and ADA issues. She has also repeatedly defended her clients in EEOC and Minnesota Human Rights charges as well as in employement law suits brought in both state and federal court. She is a frequent speaker on legal topics and has served as an adjunct professor at both Hamline Law School and North Hennepin Community College. |
