Advanced Critical Incident and Trauma Workshop

This conference is designed for those who have had basic training and experience in critical incident stress debriefing and in disaster mental health work.  Presentations will be given on a variety of advanced disaster psychology, trauma and critical incident topics including; theory, research, and applied intervention methodology.  

  • Learn how to do a psycho-social needs assessment.
  • Learn how to facilitate community-based intervention.
  • Understand community training methods.
  • Learn how to conduct a program evaluation.
  • Understand the concepts of staff care.

About the Instructor:
Gordon R. Dodge, Ph.D., L.P. has 35 years of experience as clinical, consultative and educational psychologist. His disaster response assignments include: Kosovo, Albania, an earthquake in India, plane crashes, natural disasters in the U.S., Nairobi after the embassy bombings, Oklahoma City, New York after the World Trade Center attack. He has written and lectured on trauma and disaster psychology.
